Hi!  I’m Isaac Wilkins, the owner of Relentless.  First of all, thank you so much for your interest in our programs.  If you’ve made it this far then you’re looking for some background info on my staff and I.  I hate long-winded bios, so I’ll just hit the high points for you.

isaac wilkins personal trainer bangor maineI started personal training as a side job at a YMCA in 2011 as I was finishing up my bachelor’s degree in Finance.  After spending some time doing the cubicle thing I realized that it wasn’t for me and that I really loved training clients.  This prompted me to go back to school for a graduate degree in Exercise Science.  While in school I was an intern with the UMaine Strength and Conditioning program, working mainly with soccer, women’s ice hockey, and football.  During this time I fell in love with training athletes.

After graduation I moved to Charleston, SC where I worked with elite football, baseball, and soccer athletes as well as a wide variety of adult clients.  I’ve trained athletes as young as six years-old and adults all the way up to 99!

isaac wilkins strength coach bangor maineAfter five years in the ‘South I moved back to Maine and have been the owner of Relentless Strength Training since 2012.  I have trained hundreds of clients individually, thousands in teams, and coached several thousand sessions.  At Relentless we have been fortunate enough to coach clients ranging from marathon finishers, 50-100 lb weight loss achievers, all-conference, state, and All-American athletes as well as helped people regain their mobility and ability to love life again.  I am published in several print magazines and large websites as well as maintaining my own personal blog at Beyond the Barbell.  I have lectured and run seminars for athletes, trainers, schools, and university classes on both training methodology and business practices.

I personally have a background in football, wrestling, and martial arts.  I currently train for powerlifting, strongman, and adventure races/mud runs.  I am fascinated not just by the human body but more and more by the mind.  Mindset development and the psychology of success is my primary current area of research.
